Back to Munich to visit a few of the sites we missed last time!
I think one of the best parts of going to Munich was the drive there. Shane and my dad cruised over 200 km/h on the autobahn.
This time we were organized enough to book an actual tour of the BMW factory far enough in advance. The tour was enjoyable, and we got to enjoy a site probably only seen in Germany: the workers drinking beer as they assemble car engines.
We also visited the rather enjoyable, albeit touristy, hofbrauhaus. This is one of the largest beer halls in the world and one of the major sites of Oktoberfest. Mind you there is reason this place is popular: the food was amazing! I think we introduced Shane to a new lifelong favorite of sausage and sauerkraut. We enjoyed our tasty meal along with 1 litre steins of beer with the added entertainment of a live band playing traditional German music.
